the business
The mission of A Dapper Sandlapper has always been to provide fine, handcrafted bow ties and accessories unlike any others. Having worn bow ties for quite a while, I was growing tired of boring department store options and took to my sewing machine to remedy the situation. I started the business in my home in Greenville, SC in October 2015 and maintained production there until moving into a studio space in July 2017. The year 2020 inspired a bit of branching out, which saw me introduce masks, scrunchies, and dog bow ties. And in 2021, I began working on tote bags, duffel bags, and crossbody bags. I have always strived to offer products that are sure to be a conversation starter!

Born and raised in South Carolina, I've lived my whole life in the Sandlapper state! I'm the youngest of four and hail from the lower part of the state and a small town called Williston. My siblings and I all graduated from Clemson University, so this blood certainly runs orange! Nowadays, I call Greenville home and live there with my boyfriend, Chris, and our spoiled French Bulldog, Mister Wilson. When not behind the sewing machine, you can find me onstage in a musical, in Death Valley at a Clemson game, or just on the couch binging the latest Netflix series.
